Born in 1958 in Berlin and having grown up there, I’ve now been living in Switzerland in the canton of Grisons since 1991.
I learned the craft of photography in my youth from my father. Since then I have been self-taught, which also includes the occasional enrollment in professional photography courses.
My mother set me an example of lived human empathy; through my love I experience the world’s emotional and irrational wonders time and again.
Photography begins with the perception of a moment in this world, undergoes the emotional and technical path of development and culminates in a fine art print, returning into this world as a visible and tangible image.
All this, to move me and the viewer.
